btw, sorrow is pretty bad ass.

for the record I think I_Adore_Adore is awesome. I just believe she is a bigger fan of Thefutureembrace than she wants to admit.

About damn time! TFE is a very solid album. Hell, there are only like 2 songs that aren't that good on it (Sorrows and Straz). Tilt should have been on it but was left off.

You all just love to hate on Billy, but TFE was really ahead of its time. Very good album! I just started listening to it a lot recently too and I have been really into it as well.

I disagree! I like that song, but it's not even in my top 5 for that album. There are 5 better songs on TFE than that song in my opinion.

I was listening to the Rose March in my car today. I really enjoyed it, especially the outro.

I thought the multi vocals were trippy and layered well. I played the last minute twice. How many versions of 1979 do you want skipgo?

Machina was alright, but all the machina mystery bunk really made me like it less. if there was no story told with it, I would like it more. But still Machina never got my yuck.

Zwan was boring- i recall being all excited to go to S. CA to see the 1st 4 shows. and I was just really bored during all the shows. I didn't really like any of the songs.

The zwan album was alright till it just became clear over time that it wasn't memorable. I liked the song Mary Star of the Sea & Settle Down. But everything else slowly became to be such generic rock. The live shows were boring too...

then TFE came out and after all the hype of the chicago stuff and the good songs that seemed to be coming from there and TFE was nothing like the chicago songs. I was taken back. I wasn't too excited about it at all, but I wanted to support billy. Originally I was going to go to LA & SD to see him, then said "screw it" and canceled those plans. saw him do TFE in SF + Seattle & Vancouver. Was more excited by the opening band. and i found myself just like "whatever" during most of TFE. i got to talk to billy a lot but was disappointed in him.

Now we got SP2 which has some light... to be honest when i heard Z i wasn't super impressed .

But now when i listen to TFE i kind of like it a lot. i found what i found in adore. that personal connection. and that is what got me into the band from hearing Rhino where i casually liked that song to hearing Drown when i personally connected with the music..

oh come on, i don't even really like 1979. More of a Geek USA/Once in Awhile/Meladori Magpie/Glynis girl myself. Billy completely ruined the once beautiful song that was the rose march. bleh.

what the hell are you talking about? did you read that really long-ass post i made about my appreciation for TFE and not comparing it to other stuff? I'm not comparing AG to siamese dream; I simply think it's terrible, all on it's own. You like to make assumptions based on nothing, dontcha, metal?

of course it's possible. only a moron follows blindly. you're not a moron are you?

there's no question that i'm a fan. I have two fucking sp tattoos for the love of god. much like i_adore_adore, i like everything billy's done aside from American Gothic, and I'm not terribly impressed with zeitgeist (though it's tolerable, and I do love pomp, neverlost, dfa, stellar, and ma belle).

give me a break with this untrue fan business.

my implication was that it's difficult to not compare newer works to their previous success. I was not questioning your loyalty skipgo.

ok, my mistake. still. I'm not looking for a repeat of past albums, I have no desire for such. I just don't like AG, end of story. It makes me cringe.

TFE has some great song writing and cool sounds. I listened to Pretty, Pretty Stars recently and was surprised how effing cool it was.

Pretty Pretty Star, A100, Cameraeye, Walking Shades, & Mina Loy (M.O.H.)

those were the only songs i could only listen to off of TFE

when i made the All Things Change video i did it only because i had a story line that I could do.

But right now "Now & Then" really speaks to me. And a song i hated so so so much "I'm Ready" i now like

I do recall liking the TFE video. it was pretty interesting

For those of you who don't know what i am talking about

i think pretty pretty STAR draw was the spacey sound and the emotional appeal to it that was in this song
