I probably would had dyed my hair black if it wasn't already.

yeah I completely agree, which is why I said all's fair in love and war.

But I'm saying, let's be honest about the output in that situation. It's likely to be, as in the case of the Strokes, fucking awful.

No doubt- Tragic Kingdom

Everclear- So much for the afterglow: I remember absolutely loving this album, and it hasn't aged well at all. Everything to everyone is still great, but overall it's kinda weak

(Edit: revisiting so much for the afterglow: Sunflowers and White men in black suits are good songs too... The rest is shit)

Collective Soul- Self Titled: ( I think it was self-titled... blue album with the little swirly thing on the cover) used to love this album. I bought it again awhile ago and it's pretty terrible... Gels still a really good song though

I definitely don't listen to as much Mudhoney now as I did in middle and high school. I don't think that's because they're bad or anything, I'm just through my "grunge" phase (not that grunge is necessarily a phase or that there's anything wrong with digging it).

I never really listen to Fugazi. I probably should, because I really dig that chuggy sort of staccato guitar sound in early Cursive albums that sounds inspired by the Fugazi sound.

I thought the White Stripes were afuckingmazing when my boyfriend at the time brought home de Stijl in 2001 - the intention behind the band, and the attention to detail in the album and liner notes were really pleasing to me. When I saw that the first track was called "You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl) I laughed out loud, and when I pressed play and heard the music I actually thought I'd lose my mind. Up until that point this particular boyfriend had brought home TOTAL SHIT like Handsome Boys Modelling School and Jurassic 5 and Amon Tobin, so it made me love him again.

Everything since has been a disappointment. And the fact that they became popular and all the dumbest, dumbest fucking people that I knew, loved them, really turned me off. Still love this though:

I still can't think of a single album I loved and now find shit.

not revisiting certain teenage love albums probably helps.

Achtung Baby, that's one I heard recently, and god dammit, why did I ever like it. Just one song on it that's not insufferable.

It was good for a laugh and to get fucked up to when it first came out. I think we thrashed it good and hard in 2000 but I got sick of it waaaayyy before he did and then it was just grating.

I was living in a dive in prahran then SJ, can you imagine? We'd get fucked up at home to save money and then head to revolver. Seems like a different person must have lived that life, now...
