i might pop open a police scanner if i hear an unusual amount of sirens outside and want to know what's up. or if i hear a gunshot or super cool accident. other than that i find them surprisingly boring -even in chicago.

sometimes wires and waves get crossed and police scanner talk comes in through the stereo speakers. i also know that 808 means disturbing the peace thanks to that song called bossy. and 187 means murder cause i asked -there are lots of asshole cops at my work, but some i like.
