For me probably I Stay Away or Take A Dive, but early Mudhoney did have a lot of pretty epic songs in terms of grunge.

I just remembered that this made it onto the Reality Bites soundtrack, so maybe it was the song picked to appeal to all my vodka and diet soda drinking high school friends

the funny thing is, the lyrics to that song are dumb and almost tongue in cheek, but somehow through the performance they really make it work and feel sincere and even profound at points. it conveys the lifestyle.
"i know it's wrong, but what should i do?" |

That's the case with most of their songs. Kurt even admitted on this one interview that he never really gave a shit about the lyrics, lol. They were still so... great. Dude was always on uppers as he wrote them haha.
the finest day, that I ever had was when I learnt to cry on command love myself, better than you! |

Alice Said by Screaming Trees is good too.
And I am pretty sure "Got so high I scratched til I bled" is referring to the heroin itch but what do I know. Uppers never made me itchy, just twitchy and sweaty. |

Also, that Nina Gordon album is just one of many of Bob Rock's crimes against music.
