Lightbulb Lost albums: great records that have been forgotten

let's discover the beautiful shit that maybe ain't in most cd's collections but that shoud be

I'll start over with two magnificent albums

Primal Scream - Vanishing Point
http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...960882rn2j.jpg

Primals have two masterpieces, Screamadelica and XTRMNTR, and a third dub-one: Vanishing Point

Adore is the best record to hear at night?
bullshit, Vanishing Point is, get it

Joseph Arthur - Big City Secrets
http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...88824j244a.jpg

This is too beautiful to be real.
I'd pay you to give it a try if I only was a bit richer than I am

a solo artist capable to such beautiful music?
dunno, maybe Jeff Buckley, Dylan

This Heat - Deceit

the only reason i know about it is because of its rerelease. but it's one of the best albums i've ever heard (esepcially when taken in the context of when it was released).

i also really do like the Pop Group. i picked them up off of Sean Casey and the old Pitchfork FTP. i'm a mooch.

Magizine's Real Life album is way cool. does it count as forgotten? i need to get The Correct Use of Soap still.

The Wolfgang Press is another band i rarely hear about that i like. i'm not sure what album by them i would call a great forgotten album though. maybe Bird Wood Cage. it kind of reminds me of a gothic version of the Happy Mondays, happening about the same time.

I've been searching for 'Y' for awhile now
seems impossible to find, unless you're willing to pay for the Japanese 30+ €uros (that is more than 30+ bucks) release

clues on where to get it?

Bush Tetras - Boom In The Night

A nice chunk of no-wavey funk.

Weird Paul Petrosky - Lo Fidelity Hi Anxiety

Compilation of home recordings by a dork in Pennsylvania.

I bought it on LP a while ago at a now-defunct record store in L.A. try www.Djangos.com or www.ebay.com. happy hunting.

Maybe Rhino records will re-release it or something.

But, thanks to the internet, easily downloadable. I've never heard this record, but I hope it's a lot better than the disappointing "Unfun."

Unfun is their least good album. Get 24hr Revenge Therapy, it's by far their best..

Love - Forever Changes

You always see this pop up in critic's "best of" lists, but very few people I know actually own it or have even heard of Love ("Who?"). It's somewhat hippie-dippy at times, but it's still an awesome classic '60s psychedelic album.

Actually, it seems to me that most people have at least downloaded it by now. My bigger problem is getting people to actually listen to it without a complete dismissal up front (Fuck you Jesse.)
