Andy Griffith dead at age 86


Andy Griffith has died Tuesday at his home in North Carolina, according to reports.

Emergency medical crews responded to the Griffith's home in Dare County Tuesday morning. According to the NBC affiliate KWQC, emergency crews responded to Griffith's home around 7 a.m.

Griffith, 86, was well known for his starring role on the television hit named after him, "The Andy Griffith Show," which first aired in 1960.

Griffith was born in Mount Airy, and the "The Andy Griffith Show's" town of Mayberry was based off his hometown.


Griffith also starred in "Matlock" which aired in 1986. Griffith was honored with a Walk of Fame Star in January 2000. He leaves behind a wife and two children.

It should come as no surprise that the guy died right after the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare. The government was keeping him alive to speak to old people about the benefits of Obamacare. Once it cleared the SC, they didn't have any use of him anymore. Shame.

I thought he was 107... the man looked like he'd been dead for years.

At least little Ronnie Howard can finally be at peace. The things he would do to Opie while Aunt Bea watched. And remember that time Floyd the Barber and Andy did Opie in the cell next to Otis? THAT'S WHAT TURNED OTIS INTO A DRUNK.
