I bet they hit either Seattle or Portland (probably Seattle) so distance likely isn't too bad but if it's actually going to be an arena tour I can't help but worry about the cost.

The most interesting thing will be, which kind of venues they offer and how the tickets sale will end after this bad publicity since January.
Will the new single be good enough to gain more interest though?

I remember some SAD MACHINES ranting about untrue SMASHING PUMPKINS fans by leaving the concerts before the end and that it would be better to sort them out by higher ticket prices.

HAHA, I remember this! It's like a cult almost. You're not allowed to have any constructive criticism about the band and if you do disagree with any of them you are deleted from the group unless you say that you want the band to give you a golden shower during shows.

What if this is promotion for a boxed set? The billboards with old lyrics, the ice cream truck. Why would you use old lyrics on the promo art? I mean, yeah to try and be nostalgic, but those old words have nothing to do with the new album.

They are creepy. They force the band on their children, one of the mods even made Xmas ornaments with Augie Jup's pic on them.

Not hits, but he could stick the singles on there: Tarantula, That’s The Way, Doomsday Clock... whatever the Oceania singles were... Being Beige & Drum & Fife. The Bullet remix and Beginning is the End were both used in movie marketing over the last ten years.

Maybe he re-recorded some of the Teargarden tracks with Jimmy?

I’d guess a new Greatest Hits & Tour with 1-2 new tracks and if we’re lucky another rarities disc.
