If you check out that article you'll also find a hilarious anecdote where after NME published an article full of his meandering offensive bullshit - and he sued them for it - Love Music Hate Racism came out against him until he bought them off 28,000 to get them to make him look good.

That one's also got a nice pic of him waving the Union Jack around in 1992, when it was still more or less tied to the far right.

Like, I don't doubt Billy seems pretty right-wing, fucking showing up on Alex Jones and Mancow, but these days he generally comes across to me like one of those old mellowed-out "traditional family values" types, god and country and apple pie and Jesus and all that. If he has any toxic views, he's mostly been smart enough to keep them to himself, unlike Moz up there.

I feel like the worst, meanest thing Billy's ever done in comparison was maybe the Devi Ever thing. Yeah, he's an asshole to his fans, too, but he just acts like a petulant kid who lashes out trying to say the most hurtful shit when he thinks he's been wronged. And yeah, also trying to sell piece of shit signed Crosley record players and a bunch of old photographs and junk nobody in their right mind would ever buy.
