Layne was the only original member in the band at this point... But man... Some of my respect for him has been lost.

Could this be an 'Alice in Chains' thread? Like anything AIC?

I checked and as suspected he was like 19. Nobody makes good music under 20 unless by total accident.

Mind you i never liked AIC but just sayin'

I don't get why Alice In Chains is such a revered band.
They have like 2 or 3 songs per album that are good, the rest is boring filler.

Well, to their credit, they started playing that stereotypical Grunge sound before Pearl Jam and Soundgarden was more Metal at the time.

Yeah, it was awful. To their credit there was no Cantrell, Star or Kinney in the band yet... So it was pretty much just Laynes trip at the time.

AIC's really is Jerry's baby.

I find most of their stuff too meandering and repetitive.
Dirt is probably their album I like the most, and even there, there's a few songs I'll always skip.

And there's 3 tracks on Jar of Flies I like a lot, I would carve an EP out of that EP
