Default $500,000

if you do the math on today, roughly the band made about $500,000 in about 30 minutes, not too bad.

Well, not really, when you factor in all the costs involved in putting on the shows (venue rental, promoter fee, union fees, insurance, etc...).

yeah this was a pure money move. probably not getting a whole lot of income in the last seven years but a nine show residence is pretty lame, will decrease the quality of each show but money is primary motive for billy corgan these days.

Yep, selling tickets for $20 and allowing whatever the hell kind of recording equipment the fans can think of into the venue is a pure money move.

roger waters just played here in tampa and some of the tickets for his shows were over $100 and all he was gonna do is play some mediocre versions of songs he wrote 20 years ago, but doesn't really have the talent to play live without gilmour and the rest of pink floyd...lots of musicians ass rape their fans with ticket prices, i think $20 and $25 is pretty reasonable....

If anything, SP has always been great about ticket prices. Really...they could've charged $75-100 for the NC and SF shows and they still would've sold out immediately. Even the last shows at the UC and Metro were reasonable and, at the time, they could've charged whatever they wanted for those tix.

They're really great prices for these shows, especially given that they're such small venues.

thats really good.
Although i'd love for them to be huge again which means big stadiums, I'd rather see them in a smaller intimate venue.

jesus. the ticket prices are laughably low. where i live local bands with no rep, maybe an ep to their name charge this kind of amount. i bought my brother nin tickets and they were £28 plus booking fee ~ $55. a friend of mine saw a metal band in europe and paid something like 45 euros, which is ~ $60.

No kidding. Ticket prices these days are really getting high.

The frontman from '80s band Survivor is playing at my college in a couple of weeks. The discounted ticket prices? $18. For a great rock band to be charging only two dollars more than that is impressive to me.

lol at people who are impressed by 20 dollar charge, really have no idea how the business works. This is without a doubt a money scam, there is absolute no reason for the pumpkins to have a residence at either of these venues.
