My dad's gf relapsed.

She's been sober for about 5 years. She relapsed on my dead dog's epilepsy medication Phenobarbitol. Do some of you remember a few weeks ago when I was really worried about her bc she was acting far crazier than normal, talking to herself, walking out the front door with a bunch of my nephew's stuffed animals in the middle of the night? That was because of the dog meds. Of all things to relapse on....after 5 years...she takes dog meds...why not something a bit more hardcore! Damn it you guys.

do dog meds have some sort of reputation as something you get fucked up off? cant find any other drugs? how weird...

She was going on about a week w/ no sleep, and she's schizo....I guess she just came to the realization that it could help her sleep. I remember back in the day when we would give Casper (the dead dog) his meds every night he would pass out directly afterward...she probably remembered that, and thought she would get the same effect. lol

Yeah, I couldn't tell you. They were somewhere up in our medicine cabinet, I just never thought about throwing them out. It never came to my mind, I never thought anyone in my house would get the urge to pop em', so they weren't a top priority to throw out.

Nothing, she's going to an AA meeting tonight. I told my dad I think someone needs to be responsible for her medication, make sure she counts the right amount out for the day, etc. The other day she was counting her pills, thought she was counting her anti-schizo meds, and then oops she realized she was actually counting Chantix (a medication to quit smoking,)....dude she doesn't realize what pills she's even taking.
