Mogwai - Kicking A Dead Pig
This is actually the first time I've listened to it. |

Hum is one of my all time favorite bands. I also really like Failure and Harvey Milk.
Just missed Mogwai at First Ave earlier this month. Pretty bummed about that...the live shows have always been great. |

hey life's a drag:
I listened to Tragic Boogie today. Good stuff! Somehow they sound like a welcome combination of Failure and Hum. Are their other albums as good? I'd listen to more but I can't do it all in one day like I'd like to. My time is pretty precious right now so I wanna know if I should keep listening! I definitely enjoyed this one though, got lost in space the way I like to. Wish I could get high and listen to their discography tbh |

FlamingGlobes I tried listening to the new GJ album and turned it off about 1/3 of the way through. Something just wasn't right. Maybe it's just me, and all my hardcore has left me T_T
Also listened to MCIS since I listened to SD and it's also not overrated. A bit pompous and bloated maybe, and imo not as good as SD because that guitar tho, but still awesome and worth all the praise |

The vocals on new GJ are a little off. It took me a few spins to get into it, but it definitely clicked for me.
The rhythms and the riffs. Something about it brings me back to being that skinny 17 year old flailing around in his room like an idiot. I like it. |

And just listened to Comfort (Failure) because apparently I can't read about an album I like without needing to listen to it. It's like hearing Failure as an awkward teen before they blossomed with Magnified and Fantastic Planet. Kellii wasn't even in the band yet and that makes a huuuuuge difference. Screen Man still kicks ass though.

I have that same compulsion. Once someone starts talking about an album or a movie and the conversation really gets going, I have to go back and revisit it.

Same here I pulled out all of my old HUM CDs, just because they've been brought up so much. It's been a while since I've listened and I honestly forgot how good their entire discography is.

I need to find a free place to listen to TAFH lol cuz I listened to Gish, SD, PI, and MCIS over the last couple days to expose little one to them. I think she likes SD and PI the best but it's very variable and I'm probably projecting. That's okay, though.

Not to be a parade rainin' piece of poop.
But my mom used to play The Beatles to me as a baby all of the time, and I grew up to hate The Beatles. Tread carefully. |

My dad did the same and I find them kinda of lukewarm. Guess I'll let her discover good music on her own. T_T I just needed a break from the wheels on the fucking bus

Listened to Palms' self-titled for the first time in a while just now. It's got that dreamy/droney vibe that a lot of us have been bonering over as of late, but it just never feels like the vocals gel with the rest of the band.

Of course. And I saw Sumac open for Boris.
I also saw the Mormon Tabernacle Choir but that's another story. |

인피니트 - Top Seed
so good, don't even miss Hoya. He didn't sing much anyway, but I do wonder how their live performances will be without him since he was the best dancer. As long as Sung Gyu and Woo Hyun are there it will always sound like Infinite. L and Sung Jong getting getting solos was unexpected but they both sound good. And distinct, finally. Dong Woo got a solo too and had to hold down all the rap parts w/o Hoya. Probably will be the same with the dancing. Only one I didn't mention was Sung Yeol put he always gets pushed aside. Oh well, I really liked it and was very ready since they hadn't put out music since 2016. Cannot wait for the promotions <3 Sung Gyu |

After watching the showcase, yes I was right. Dong Woo just danced center now. They're looking great but whoever dressed them put Woo Hyun and Sung Jong in stupid old man sweaters.

Been listening to a lot of Bowie lately, mainly his mid 70s to early 80s albums
I think Station to Station and Aladdin Sane might be my favourites. Aladdin Sane in particular is quite underrated compared to his other more popular albums, in my opinion. |
