Default TV theme intros

Maybe this thread will flop but after seeing teh b0lly's Renegade post I figured what the hell. Two TV intros that have stuck with me since I was a little kid are The Hitchhiker and The Equalizer. Anyone else have a favorite?

I watched so much Knight Rider! I didn't sit in front of the tv for hours a day or anything...

Now I present the original MacGyver (haven't bothered with the 2016 reboot):

the shows you and took picked didn't make it to my euro tv, but Knight Rider did (so did MacGyver, but I never was into that.)

Knight Rider was the one thing I was allowed to watch before dinner, because otherwise I would have raised hell. The intro still brings out the trained rat in me, I hear something vaguely resembling it, and my brain responds with pure joy.

Shadaloo, I just got done watching that Batman intro 30 minutes ago while searching for stuff to post. Great series and intro. Took, I'm not sure how never stumbled onto Bucky O'Hare. The Battletoads games for NES and SNES were legit though.

Will you also accept a TV theme outro?

This one had to grow on me but now I love it

My cartoon knowledge is based in the 80s and early/mid 90s. Love Twin Peaks though.

Umm, not sure how I presently feel about this one...

BTAS set such a high fucking bar for me that I tend to assume no form of Batman media will ever live up to it. It's almost timeless.

Bucky was a great little short-lived show (and had an awesome comic to boot). Also, I'm fairly certain Jenny the cat planted the seeds for current furry fandom.

There was so many epic 80's cartoon themes, but it's pretty much established that this takes the cake. The whole intro syncs up perfectly to the theme. I don't think they could have knocked it out of the park better. This was actually the first cartoon to be shown in Dolby surround sound.

The whole soundtrack for this show is awesome. And if you can find the original release on vinyl, it's worth a small fortune. It shows how beloved the music was on this series. Great cartoon

***Notable mentions***

Man this is just so awesomely 80's. It reminds me of Jefferson Starships "We Built This City (on rock and roll)"

This is some pure melodic gold right here.... Corgan wishes he could write a melody like this

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you condescending to us all not too long ago that cartoons are for kids?

I love those 80's cartoons. They really did a good job of educating kids about the realities of good and evil in the world. You don't get that kind of bluntness in programming anymore.

Of course they are. I still have a lot of love for those old programmes that I grew up watching though. I'm pretty much just a huge kid at heart.
