Default i really like titus andronicus

am i alone here i mean

Okay I think by now we've established
Everything is inherently worthless
Then there's nothing in the universe
With any kind of objective purpose
And you could scream for 500 years
Split that sky with a thousand curses
To tell the evil that men do
Honey, you wouldn't even scratch the surface

The airing of grievances still gets played at least once a year full blast during a road trip. That album sounds like a punk rock e-street band.

i know you didn't care for the monitor all that much

i just really love this guy's lyrics...so much in common. it's like we're both kind of struggling with all kinds of things about being mentall ill, white male middle class liberal arts majors that take things way too seriously but almost like WELL FUCKING SOMEONE HAS TO YOU DRUNK FUCKS

look at this youngish man
already half way off with his pants
he's doing something weird with his hands
he's got a multitude of outrages planed
and he's still trying to cough up
that which he choked on in the churches
look at him now lotering in front of an abandoned store front
bearded and bedecked in army surplus
Don't know why it's so hard giving a SHIT
When everybody's telling him he's full of it
He forgets if he felt oppressed or depressed
Or which one came first in this crazy mess
If he's taken too much, or not enough
Or which one was the worse one with this sort of stuff
And he was so unsure if being ignored
Was half the pain of being observed
And that's a lot to say without a word

I always tell this none story but I had a ticket to see them play in a small venue in Lawrence KS with Los Campesinos! in 2008.

Night before I got really drunk and had a bad hangover all the next day and I could not will myself to get up and going by the time it rolled around . I regret it forever mainly because holy shit what a double bill and also neither band has rolled through anywhere close to KCMO since.
