do you think it would possible to accurately recreate any analog-recorded sp album (ie gish or sd) using digital technology/protools. would it possible to get the exact same record using digital instead of analog. it would be an interesting experiment.

well after a recent interview with maynard i just read a few days ago, he talks about recording 2 different masters of the album pre mix, analogue and digital, and letting his studio guests listen to each blindly to choose the best one.

apparently analogue won hands down. so i guess that's a no.

edit - i should probably mention i'm talking about v is for vagina.
