The buds opened on July 8 after months of gestation and today 8/13 still going strong. Sometimes fragrant like a hyacinth :)

At my parents' house. This is not the only one of its kind. Lobelia siphilitica:
 I am constantly amazed by the volunteers that find they way to the patio. The mother plant is a decent stretch from these. Last year we fired it (with flamethrower, to kill weeds) at least once. I wonder if that's made a difference Last edited by ohnoitsbonnie : 08-18-2017 at 10:43 AM. |
