http://www.rockgarage.it/wp-content/...t-Spectres.jpg Blue Oyster Cult – Spectres most well known these days for being the subject of an snl spoof, BOC actually put out a lot of good, innovative hard rock music (next to a lot of crap). This album is '77 I think, a little later than their more acclaimed stuff, but it's a fan favorite. Dynamic, dreamy, and mysterious, the album has a lot more to say than you would guess from the band's reputation as a third rate 70s guitar act. Buck Dharma is a gifted ax man but he shows more restraint than aggression here. Skip the first song, Godzilla, it doesn't match the tone of the rest of the album. My favorite is Golden Age of Leather. Torrent me now! |
