pink floyd - boring
at the drive in - every song sounds the fucking same to me
white stripes - extremely narrow dynamic range...makes me angry

see

what are you talking about.since when i have I (openly) appreciated Metallica? i don't exactly know what point you are trying to make.

now, to cover my bases before i start, i like MBV....

BUT FOR FUCKS SAKE NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO. It is funny, and you might not realise this yet, but Metallica fans would probably ask "how can people NOT get into this?", too

they STILL sell millions of records and STILL are idolized by the masses. These two factors mean that U2 are (generally) highly regarded.

seconding the beatles. i have heard plenty of their songs and generally don't find much i don't like, but despite having a bunch of beatles albums available for listening i have never found the urge to put one on.

music. subjectivity. art. subjectivity.

sometimes, you know, it's not a case of having/finding a reason to dislike a band, moreso a case of "i just don't like the way they sound

eh, you could be a pop queen and have both of these. u2 have more longevity than that though so ill just leave these be. they havent been the critical darling the once were.

i get what you're saying. however we must establish the difference between being highly regarded critically, and being highly regarded generally. there is a huge difference between them.

your point is ridiculous. If you dont like the way a band sounds, then there does not have to be anymore to it.

Case closed. Over. Move on.
