i spoke too soon.

here's silverfuck:

http://youtu.be/8YOJUmGC-BU

a little shaky for the first 30 seconds, but pretty steady for the other 9.5 minutes. it sounds a lot better than the blown out front row videos.

They sound alright. No stage presence at all from anyone. Not sure if Brad Wilk is really the best fit.

When has any member of the pumpkins had a lot of stage presence besides Billy? And does a drummer ever have stage presence?

in that frankfurt show posted in the trading post recently, i watched it and basically thought how billy & jimmy had so much motion goin on but d'arcy & james were like pillars

it's more or less seemed to stay this way with following incarnations except maybe that first zeitgeist thing, seems to give billy a bit more credibility that out of all the musicians except one he's pretty much the only one who gives a shit about actually putting on a good show

Holy shit this is incredible

And actually listenable

It feels more pieced together than the old SF jams but it's still good
That riff at 6min is awesome

This is the most balls SP has had since Machina. Even without JC this is better than the ZG tour

You know, I don't think there's a single soul on the planet who can play that opening part at JC level

Shit is a strong word. It did sound a little off after the second chorus and during the sqeal solo. But miles better than you know who

this is singlehandedly the best live performance since 2007. goddamn this band is so tight already, and Billy seems stoked about it and not bored like he always looked during the Oceania tour. please let the band stay this way please for the love of god

Wow, not a single song from Zeitgeist, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, or Oceania. That very well could be because these shows are specifically meant to be supporting Monuments to an Elegy, but it seems like Corgan really does consider this to be a new beginning.

Also, band sounds tight as hell and seems to be completely re energizing Billy. Band wasn't this tight since 2007. Billy's vocals haven't sounded this good since 2000. Hope it can be kept up.

Come on...I love how energized Billy is but that's ridiculous.

The band hasn't been this tight since 2008. That would be correct.

That was one awesome rendition of Silverfuck. My only concern with this lineup is, I don't think it's intended for any longevity. As soon as the Killers are back in the studio, Mark will want out (if not beforehand). Same thing with Brad and Rage Against the Machine.

Notwithstanding, this is one awesome lineup, much better than anything post-Jimmy.
