It's not that weird. I'm exactly like that. As a result i pretty much don't use the phone except to talk to my parents, brother and gf. That's pretty much the only people i'll talk to. If i have to call like the internet provider or cable company or whatever to get something sorted out or make a change, i generally put it off for two weeks and have to prepare beforehand and then it'll be like...my task for the day. I often buy things from places like CL or Kijiji, or sell things, and i always try to have it all be done by email and i HATE when they just give you their phone number and ask to call them. I've passed on buying things because of this. I have to REALLY either want it or want to sell it to do it

I'd rather MEET a stranger than talk to them on the phone (though ideally, neither). I guess the phome its just no body language or anything so it really weirds me out.

It's just weird because I don't know why it's so terrifying to me. I'd rather elect to walk (I don't drive) to whoever I need to talk to regardless of whether it's miles away than have to call. But that's not always an option like right now I need to make a call and I'm procrastinating it

I used to have that same phone anxiety really bad. I still do but it's not terrible anymore. There were calls I put off for literally months, and not just a couple.

yeah i think i'm exactly this way too. One on one, at home or at least not out in public, fine. Out in public and/or more people, not so fine.

Although there's some people i will never manage to be normal around. Even one on one. Their way of being, personality, i don't know. There's some people with who i will never manage to be natural with no matter how long i've known them. i once dated a girl for 6 months and it was exactly like that. I was never ever able to be myself around her. I mean i'd have thought the moment i slept with someone you know...normally it's been this way. But her... it just didn't work.
