It was really cool hearing them isolate different mics during the song like that

"What is d'arcy wearing?"

What is weird about it? It is just beige pants, boots and a black top.

Did you see what Jimmy did there at 0:08 ? He played the crash and the snare on the '4 with his left hand almost at the same time by pulling back his arm super fast (it's so fast that it sounds like he plays the crash and the snare at the same time). I've never seen him do that.

fuck!!!!!!!!!!

anyway, i've actually got that whole episode of SNL, quite a throwback watchin it entirely, when the newest terentino films were reservoir dogs & pulp fiction, + norm was still on the show

pretty good episode all around, actually

the performance of bullet from that one actually rivals even that french thing in terms of sheer live rage from b0ll the d0ll

Woah, that was weird. I've never seen that.

I don't think he hit the snare at all, just pounded the crash hard enough so that it sounded big enough to take its place. Usually he moves his right hand to the snare when hitting that crash on 2/4

Nope, you can clearly hear the snare on the '4 and you can clearly see him hit it with his left hand.

This SBD is mixed like shit but it was worth it just to hear in such detail the notes JC's getting out of his snare at 39:36

thats me! The fact that he sent a second response the next day says a lot about him. He didn't just throw out an answer and move on- he made sure he got it right. He later sent me a couple DM's further correcting himself admitting he had touble counting it without playing it. He worked on it during soundcheck by himself.

What a dude.

My god I've never bothered to listen to that live before

it's so so good. those guitar solos are vintage pumpkins

Those are some sick beats on the hihat....it's so cool and so clever, making it sound like he's splitting triplets between his feet and hands

this is the version I linked him to. I was at this show and noticed the hi hat thing here and it's been on my mind since. starts at 3:20. this might be the best guitar solo this song has seen
