every country has its own hip hop scene. hip hop is the most popular form of music in the world. you just don't know what you are talking about. your metric is just what you have been exposed to, which is not a lot

like if it's so simple and "baseline" you should be able to do it easily, right?

Then where are all these iconic, globally famous non-black rappers?

Obviously every country has it's own hip-hop scene. Every country has a scene for any type of music.... But if this type of music is really as popular as you make it out to be, how come there are so few iconic rappers coming out lately?

You look at the guys selling out arenas and it's all of the black guys who made it back in the 90's. Even guys like Lil Wayne have lost a lot of gas. The shelf life is not long for these guys. It's a very trend based type of art.

All of the white guys I know who like rap are really baseline, childish people... None of them are the least bit intellectually curious, and a lot of them are criminals.

Now I'm sure there is others out there who like the top-40 pop based "hip-hop"... But no one would classify that as "rap".

Eminem grew up, something you obviously haven't done

The black artists who write this kind of music use it as a therapy, to let out the demons of street life... If you're not a kid from the streets, then you can't make the music... Unless you make like Maclamore stuff, but we can both agree that that shit is a joke... Or do you seriously listen to Maclamore?

I couldn't give a shit about Billy Corgans lyrics. I think most of them are garbage, I simply like the musicianship, that is all.

Yeah, and is it any wonder that once he matured a little bit that he couldn't score a hit? Bro-culture don't like grown up Eminem.

I'm not gonna make a mockery of the african-american culture. That would be racist. I'm writing an alt-rock song about you.

How's it bullshit? If I liked the musicianship from rap, then I'd like it despite the lyricism too. I actually like a few Beastie Boys songs, because it's funny dumb shit that I can relate to .

I'm surprised you guys are so big on rap, considering it's the most masochistic music of any genre.

Look at the success of his latest albums... He's been on a Billy Corgan like downswing.

I'll never attempt at mocking a black form of artistry. I'm not a racist. Won't do it. You might find it "funny" to do so, but real rap fans would listen to what you made and be pissed off.

Eminem's 'Revival' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart, G-Eazy & Jeezy Bow in Top 10

12/24/2017
by Keith Caulfield

Quote:
Eminem earns his eighth straight No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as his latest studio release, Revival, opens atop the tally. It launches with 267,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Dec. 21, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 197,000 were in traditional album sales. Eminem is the first act to achieve eight consecutive chart entries that debuted at No. 1.
