This is bloody brilliant. Great to also hear Billy say "Pow" during Zero. I remember when the game Rock Band had that as an official lyric and people would refuse to sing it

Dang. Mellon Collie Billy, live, in a Zero shirt, with hair, and before he painted over the I Love My Mom guitar.

Such a small window of time that that Billy even existed. What’s interesting is he “sounds” like Siamese Dream era Billy... really insecure, higher pitched voice.

Sure you've got the date right? They played on the 22nd August 1995 (I have the ticket to prove it) and then played the next night, the 23rd August.

Which one is this footage from?

Also: http://www.spfc.org/tours/date.html?year=1995

Cool, shame as it wasn't the one I was at! :-)

Billy did say on the 22nd gig that they'd be back the next night to "play the exact same songs in the exact same order" so I guess I'm not missing much.

He pretty much was though. I know I'd have been freaked if he'd walked out onstage completely bald, with no prior warning. It was enough of a shock for me to see the SD era short hair after the long hair of Gish.

Should be 1995-08-23 which matches the original upload of the single Porcelina clip in the other thread and notes now made on SPLRA

That was the first thing I thought. You can tell the band hadn't worked out the Mellon Collie aesthetic yet. Besides the points you mentioned, you have Billy wearing the Zero shirt without the silver pants, D'arcy not wearing the long wigs, and James wearing a normal tee-shirt instead of a the stripper shirt/tie combo he'd wear later. This has to the the final gap between Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie era band.

As someone else mentioned, the band has not played these songs live much yet, so the tempos are so much slower than we'd get even a few months later.
