I'm glad I'm not short though, that would suck. I take for granted never having to worry about that at shows.

Also, big festivals are my least favorite music experience. I went to this year's Lollapalooza Brazil and it was a good time but certainly not, like, because of the music. Sets are always more generic and you always have to deal with people who don't know the artist and just wanna talk through and ruin your experience. My favorite places are small venues for intimate concerts. I only experienced this in the US, I remember Maxwell's in Hoboken and The Space in New Haven very fondly because of this. |

Oh yeah for sure, my only experiences going to concerts have been in brazil so I can only speak to that.
But also, i'm short, most everyone at concerts is seemingly building-sized next to me. And while I enjoy hearing the music in person, I find it hard to get into it when I constantly have to be mindful of who's around me, who will want to try and rub up against me, getting elbowed to the face, being careful to not be squeezed when people start jumping around too much, etc etc. Best concert I ever been to was this year, a very small and intimate instrumental music festival with just unknown local bands. The concert happened on a field and everyone just laid down on the grass vibing to the music. It was amazing. |

this is what I'm attending this weekend. I don't know most acts (or uninterested in them), is there anything I shouldn't miss though?

woops! bit big.
will have already missed a lot since I'm playing a gig myself on Saturday and it starts on Friday; going after my own gig. But, hypothetically, of these, I would like to see Big Ups, USA Nails, Joep Beving, that's pretty much it. maybe slowdive and churches, why not. don't say arctic monkeys or mogwai. |

Lead singerman for futur islands puts on a uniquely passionate show that i found to be very inspiring, as a musician/performer. Their recorded material is fairly straightforward synth pop that I would classify as above average, but live show is not to be missed Trail of dead used to be very good, haven’t seen them in ages tho And finally, please see let’s eat grandma and report back to us. Never heard of them but god good wat a band name shit is named up |

At least one fifth of those artists look like typos, as if someone was trolling and just hammered away at their keyboard for a line or so
