He was a chain smoker who would often have a lit cigarette wedged in his guitar headstock so he could quickly reload when the one in his mouth was cashed. I wonder if it was his guitar tech's job to have those lit cigarettes ready to go.

Regardless of how you guys feel about EVH he was highly influential to Billy and thus he was indirectly responsible for a lot of our favorite songs. Not a huge VH fan (they’re fun though) but EVH was one of the very best to do it for sure. RIP.
