anyone have decent mp3's for me? Of the friends and enemies of modern music tape, that is.

For some reason mine don't play on my iPod, which I will use to terrorize customers with tomorrow. URGENT

Judas Ř is great!
I bought the Rarities & B-Sides collection off Qobuz since they had lossless. Over 100 tracks, singles/b-sides and includes TAFH and Judas Ř.

There is a good reason why I included which release I took certain extra songs from. If you actually listened to Eye on the Adore reissue, you would have noticed that is it a different mix, not simply just a remaster. I prefer the original mix from the Lost Highway/Rarities & B-Sides release. Also the version of Blissed And Gone that I like is not on the Adore reissue. Waiting is also cranked a bit more on the reissue like many of the bonus material from these reissues. I prefer their original masters over their newer remasters. Apologies it upset you so much.

This is true. A lot of the Adore bonus tracks clip and distort.

You might very well be right.

Don't tempt me good sir! But in all seriousness, TAFH would have made a great stand alone record by itself.

Why not just do the reissue by putting Machina on one disc, and Machina II on another? Who cares if it was originally supposed to be a double album or whatever the story is? It wasn't released that way, and the original intention can never be fulfilled because not even present-day Corgan can be certain what 2000 Corgan would have ended up doing if the label let him have his way. You really think a reorganized album would reflect its original intention more than it reflects Corgan's current outlook and decisions?

Just remaster the shit, maybe remix the tracks that need to be remixed, add the b-sides, outtakes, and demos as bonus discs, and throw in some concert DVDs. Like they've done for every other reissue. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

>But muh perfectly tracklisted definitive Machina as it was always meant to be!

Hahaha, shut up.

I love Machina 1 and 2 so I'm game for a big deluxe version. It;s one of those records we can all pick apart and have different opinions about. Still, some grand music in all the mess and shuffle!

Cool Adore version! I think he should have saved Eye for Adore. It would have been a killer addition.

I just threw everything together in a giant clusterfuck of a three-disc album because I tried to follow the intended GATMOG plot, such as it was supposed to be. I kinda pared it down to:

01. Glass' Theme
02. The Imploding Voice
03. Stand Inside Your Love
04. The Sacred And Profane
05. Real Love
06. Glass + The Ghost Children
07. Raindrops + Sunshowers
08. Let Me Give The World To You
09. Dross
10. Vanity
11. Speed Kills
12. Blue Skies Bring Tears

01. Heavy Metal Machine
02. Wound
03. Try, Try, Try
04. This Time
05. The Everlasting Gaze
06. In My Body
07. I Of The Mourning
08. If There Is A God
09. Slow Dawn
10. Home
11. Here's To The Atom Bomb
12. With Every Light
13. Age Of Innocence

Or something. I've got too much of an attachment to most of the songs out of this period. Can't cut it down to one disc.

It was definitely the most anticipated reissue because the others didn't really need remastering at all and he made a big point of saying it was going to come out in its intended tracklist. He said in the Q & A if it comes out it would use "Original mixes" so everything would probably sound closer to Arising versions. People actually do want this thing, either because they want to know the intended running order, or want the tracks cleaned up, or want everything to sound better meshed together. Pick a reason.

Of course I'm sure once the tracklist comes out people will hate it or disagree with it completely or just use the new playlist with the original released versions, but that's part of the fun.
Great post! I think its kind of like the Smile album by Brian Wilson/Beach Boys. It has a mythos to it of what coulda/shoulda been.

Yeah I recently saw Dudehitscar from the Oboard was bitching on reddit about that:

"Wah wah this song that was written after the concept was abandoned is totally still a part of this concept that ceased to exist. This is ALL wrong because of this one song!!"

Anyone is free to tag it onto then end or whatever but the song is not a part of the concept. I don't care how good it is. Doesn't belong there.

Well the "OCD baby" in me liked that it was 14 & 14 but I might just have to do that
Already replaced the version of Speed Kills w/ the Stand Inside b-side but I wasn't even gonna mention that

No worries, mileage will vary. I did some things wrong anyways, both Try Try Try and LMGTWTY are probably in the wrong spot and should be moved to either the "Loss of Balance" or "Descent/Lose Girl" plotpoints, and yeah Go can probably fuck right off honestly.
