disappointing, sp single-wise. ok, bland radio song-wise. meh. billy still has this strange power over me even when it's some rather generic song like this.

Yeah there's something about the Pumpkins where even on their worst day, they still sound more exciting to me than 99.9% of anything else out there.

i really just think this song would kick ass if he sang less half assed. hes out of tune consistantly throughout his career, but if hes emotional it doesnt matter. if hes going to be singing so soft and lazy he should at least be in tune.

Im talking music thats popular today. Not Zepplin or Floyd, or even Bowie. All of whom are some of my favorites. I just cant get into most modern rock bands. Their music rings hollow to me.

i think the most popular thing today in rock is the 80s revival sound of all those shitty indie-pop-rock bands. it all sounds like bubble-gummed depeche mode and new order.

Its all that Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance bullshit thats popular. I like QOTSA and Vast alot. I like NIN but I think Trents been phoning it in since the Fragile. Alot worse than Billy can be acused of since SP returned. I mean Year Zero and the Slip SUCKED IMO. I just cant connect with a band anymore. I listen to one song and I may like it, but I dont feel compelled to go buy the album. The Pumpkins are the only band I have a real connection with.

What I want to know is if this song was written and then donated to Guitar Hero or Rock Band or if they came to Billy and asked him to write a song to help promote the game. After listening my initial thought is that Billy had the idea mulling around and the game producers came to him. The song is very straight forward especially on the drums. The song has the Guitar Hero formula. Who knows if we'll ever know. The song is REALLY basic even by Billy's standards which makes me think that it plays to the fake guitar players of video game land.

I think Billy wanted to release this somehow but he's under budget of course and he thought Guitar Hero would be a good fit.. Makes perfect sense, Low-budget, promotion, and getting it released? Also the fact that Guitar Hero and Rock band like games gets people to listen to music.. he's probably overjoyed

have we officially decided that the woo-ooh-oohs are indeed not vocals? and that in the "keyboard vs guitar" case it's definitely a guitar?
