Have had the 16/44 pbthal rip from 2011, but haven't been able to find a seeded torrent for the 24/96 Hut rip that was available.

Is there a link or a download or does someone feel like uploading over 2gb for download? Help! :/

I have a 24/96 rip, but I'm not sure if it's the same one as the 2011 rip you're talking about. I got it from what.cd and it was uploaded in 2011, so it's quite likely. Here's the text of log file that comes with it:

Hmm. Interesting. It appears there are two links for Mellon Collie vinyl rips. One that lists the LP as being released in 1996, the other 1995. The accompanying txt file for the 1995 rip is the same as the one you posted. The 1996 released vinyl does not appear to have a txt file at all.

How does the one you posted the txt file for sound? It appears that rip has a number of a seeders on that Russian torrent site. I appreciate the help!

I've just realised that the 24/96 rip and the 16/44.1 rip on what.cd are actually completely different rips, i.e., the 16/44.1 was ripped independently of the 24/96 rip and is not simply a downsampling of the 24/96 rip.

The 16/44.1 version was ripped by pbthal, also in 2011, and can still be downloaded here

The 24/96 version in all honesty isn't as good a rip as pbthal's. I can still upload it for you if you want, unless you've been able to torrent it from somewhere.

I think I'm just going to stick with pbthal's 16/44.1 rip. I've listened to the two 24/96 rips I managed to torrent and they're quite noisy, and only one of them even contains a log file in the folder. The two rips I've download are represented here and they're both 24/96, and neither appears to be pbthal's. I think the rip listed under 1996 is the other one.

The 24/96 rip that came with a log file is the same as the one you posted. So, there's that mystery solved.

Just gave them both a quick comparison, and that newer one sounds far noisier. Hopefully the new MCIS rip will be 24/96

also i'm really digging the MCIS vinyl rip, with the "alternate" track order.

it seems like a concept album, even tho BC rejects this now, I remember it was hyped as being such at the time of its release
