Default so not long until they're in the studio....

so not long until they're in the studio. Mat 1st they are going to get on to writing, recording new stuff.

so what does everyone expect?
hope for?
think the release will be.

I would hope for something totally off the wall, and expect it may be that way. I do expect it to be a lot better than american gothic. Better songs and production.
And I would love around 4 or more songs to come out this summer. Give me something to listen to on my long summer hol.

What about Gossamer as well, I know they did a live recording but will they do a studio recording now they are going to release a song/s here and there? Gossamer wouldn't really have gone on an album due to it's length but it can now be released as a one off. Willit now happen?

if they are going to release individual songs, Gossamer i'm sure would be a big hit with the fans..maybe it would encourage them to continue in this fashion.

I actually like it that we have no idea what they are going to do next...it keeps me interested

I know

Billy: Oh god, I have no idea what I'm doing!!

Jimmy plays Drum solo

Billy: I hear what you are saying JC, lets sell it to the fans as 'an exciting future for the band'

Jimmy hits hi-hats furiously

Billy: No not like the future embrace Jimmy

There will be a fair share of cocks tied into knots if Jeffster is not included in these sessions!

You can count on that.

no.

The Smashing Pumpkins will begin recording new material later this spring, according to drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, but fans looking for a proper follow-up album to last year's 'Zeitgeist' may be out of luck.

"It's something we're going to get to on May 1st," Chamberlin tells Spinner. "We just bought a building, and my wife and I are in the process of moving back to Chicago. Billy [Corgan] and I are going to start working every day like we used to.

I got that champ.

So we know May through September is open to recording. I predict nothing will be released from these sessions.

if studio Gossamer is released all the fans will say is how they ruined it from its far superior live version.

Default So, May 1 is pretty close

Jimmy let us know that a journalist misconstrued his statements about not making another "album" or "full length cd", very good.

BUT this was mentioned in the same report:

Quote:

May 1 is a little over 2 weeks away, so any news?
(Yeah, I know I've been MIA, but life happens sometimes...)

anyway, before the office starts, i'll put in my word on the topic.

i'd like to be exactly the opposite of AG.
i'd like to have some melt my face off rock.
but only ONE of the songs can be over 6 mins. long.
