Nah. These things can have a way of turning around fairly quickly. Sure, they're set up real nice, but that's no guarantee.

Best thing for the NBA would be for Lebron to go to the western conference. Play the W's at least 4 times a year and then face off somewhere in the playoffs before the finals. First team to commit to the low post against them starts to crack their code, but the big men have to be able to run a bit. Cavs (errr, Lebron) tried to structure their team to beat the W's at their own game and that's not how to take them down.

i don't give a shit about basketball. all you ever need to see of a basketball game is the last 2 minutes.

but for some reason my FB feed is blowing up with my friends all arguing about whether Lebron is a washed up hack who cant play or the second coming of MJ

Hockey is a better sport no doubt, but what the NBA has are larger than life personalities, probably in part because they are truly larger than life with their size and athleticism. The NBA has always been a human circus of athletic freaks large and small, tall and short.

Lebron is a damn fine player and has been absolutely incredible these past few years.

unstoppable force? yes.
probably the best all around player ever to play? yes.

but he and MJ ain't in the same conversation, sorry.
if anyone ever came close to being the next MJ it was Kobe Bryant.
