It's cool. I do talk about mental health related things a lot, but I specifically try to avoid diagnosing people when I'm being analytical, especially people on the board or that I know personally. Mentioning traits that one observes is not the same as diagnosing people. But anyhow, sorry if I slip up on that sometimes. I used to do it a lot and realize the error of my ways.

it may seem like he could be doing better but we're all products of circumstance and biology, i feel like he can't be anything other than he is and most people can't unless they have a certain amount of intelligence or experience certain (mostly terrible) things that change the way they look at existence

Like I'm happy for him to learn to be a grown up and shit but he's making the boarding experience intolerable for other people. He can go learn to be a grown up outside, he doesn't need to be here. I want every substance dependent person to work their way to rehabilitation, but I don't want them drying out in my loungeroom while I'm trying to watch TV.
