"Kill your parents" is not regularly listed on spfc, therefore you can't even look up when it was performed (unless I'm blind, also possible.) Only mention I could find is on the tracklist of Mashed Potatoes:
http://www.spfc.org/songs-releases/b...ml?boot_id=169

I guess the story behind this is known, but I've never heard it. Did they have to bury this song?

I've never heard the story behind it... but then again, I'm a casual fan. I didn't know who Monte was until 2011.

It's not a song as far as I know, just banter. This song is about taking drugs and killing your parents, and not necessarily in that order. cue siva.

It still was performed and recorded. Yet SPFC doesn't even mention the title on setlists where the recordings list it. Seems odd to me. I mean even teasers of re-inventions of Rammstein are listed.

Edit: hm, after listening to the recordings again, your explanation makes a lot more sense than my first thought- "someone wasn't comfortable to list a title like that."

i thought KYP was used to indicate that intro thingy they played going into siva.
it was never really called KYP by the band, but bootleggers used it to write down a "more complete" setlist, as the intro thing wasn't part of the siva they knew from the album.

does that make sense?

like here for example: https://archive.org/details/tsp1991-09-01.anam
or here: https://archive.org/details/tsp1991-12-31.ecm909 ("this is a song about loving animals")

yeah, I always thought it was some kind of never-recorded intro sequence to siva..

Tracklist:

01 - Snail 5:46
02 - KYP + Siva 6:51
03 - Crush 3:56
04 - Silverfuck ("D-Jam") 9:13
05 - Billy Interview 5:18

The SPFC lists the interview as being between Siva and Crush, but on my copy it's at the end of the set.

This, I believe, is where people got the name "Kill Your Parents" for the pre-Siva jam. Although in retrospect, based on comments made at other shows, Billy was probably talking about Siva. Who knows...

There are plenty of other shows where Billy jokes about "killing your parents"

One thing I'd like to know is why bootlegs commonly list "Country Death Song" by Violent Femmes as a tease, when that riff probably wasn't composed by them, I always thought it was one of those "public domain" type ditties.

at least as far as SPLRA goes, KYP is the Siva intro that was done in 91 and 92, and then brought back in 2008. KYP II is the funky intro first played on 1992-07-05
