It's weird, I feel like they would be notable enough to have a Wiki page. Until tonight, I've never met anybody offline who knows them, but it seems like they get a decent amount of music press.

I recently saw Andrew WK @ White Oak in H-Town

Next show I'm for sure going 2 is like Wavves @ Satellite Bar (my fave venue here) in October.

Chris D'elia @ Moody Theater in Austin on Dec 28

Not music but it's the closest I got right now
This year's been mostly local & my own shows, haven't actually seen big "national acts" i like in a while - 2016 was probably my last big year for that

Tho I did come incredibly close to seeing everyone's favorite non-SP band over here in October, the night before I actually had to be there

I'm talking of course about Third Eye Blind

I ended up not going to this, despite having a ticket. B. came in from out of town around 7pm or so and by the time we got home, it was already like 9pm and i wasn't up for going.

to round out the year, i might be going up to san antonio to see SP and/or the black angels at white oak music hall. both happening next month, so we'll see if i even end up going to either,

a Massive Attack show in Lake Charles, LA popped up on Facebook a few weeks ago and, although i knew it was more than likely a mistake, I couldn't help being excited by the minute possibility that it wasn't. they cancelled the event but boy that woulda been a spectacle

anyway, i'm probably going to one of the Beck/Spoon shows that start rollin' around July

For March, I'm really looking forward to the Ringo Deathstarr show on the first. Then, three weeks later there's a no-name shoegaze line-up happening at the same venue: Highlands, Angel Aura, Astragal, and Slow Crush.

What's kinda quirky is that I made a comment about RD in r/shoegaze and ended up friending someone who is dating one of the members of Astragal, who are a pretty decent up-and-coming genre band.

They're playing in Woodlands, which is like 45 mins away from Houston, at the end of July. It's the day before my b-day and probably a week before we move back to KC. I'm excited for both bands tbh. Haven't seen either in YEARS.

Including a festival perormance this will be my fourth time seeing jew since September of 2016. And I have to say some of those 3eb singles are in fact jams. So it should be fun. Was able to convince two friends to go even.

I saw JEW a handful of times in like, '05 and '06. They do put on a solid show.

I saw TEB in like 2003 and it was just okay since they were promoting whatever album they had out at the time, so it was like mostly that with a couple singles sprinkled in. It was a last minute decision (literally saw the marquee earlier in the day and was like wtf not.)
