Shiny was the first time I realized "shit... It's over... it's really over". Since I liked Z, I thought Jimmy returning would solve a lot of the issues and then add in Iha and the prospect of new music was super exciting. The fact that Shiny was the best they could muster up was incredibly disappointing.

Put it this way, my outward reaction while listening to the music for the first time was very similar to the expression of the statue on the cover of the record

this is actually right but SAOSB is definitely not worse than TGBK and if you really think it is you probably haven't heard TGBK recently enough

Teargarden at least has a couple of pretty good songs. For me they're Tom Tom and Freak.

Shiny may not have the amount of embarrassing moments, but there's just nothing going for it either. Bland as the drabbest England winter
