i pulled a DiscoStu tonight and went to a local jazz bar by myself to have a drink.

it's not the same jazz bar from my (infamous) story, it's another one - one that is supposedly more slick, 'professional', soulless, etc. i was expecting to see a band playing, but it was just a really wanky (although spectacularly sound) jazz pianist, and a spanish singer doing latin-esque semi-cuban music or something. had a drink and fucked off.

"this isn't even a real jazz club", i thought as i unlocked my bike.
