A first class British Airways passenger has been arrested for allegedly filming up a stewardesses skirt mid-flight.

Businessman Martyn Vaughan is accused of holding his phone under a 26-year-old attendant's skirt as she leaned over to serve another passenger.

According to The Sun, 61-year-old Vaughan was arrested when his flight touched down at Cape Town airport in South Africa.

He initially denied the offence but it is now believed he has admitted to the incident after being charged with common assault.

The married father-of-two had reportedly been drinking on the flight before he pulled out his phone, turned on the torch app and positioned it under the victim’s skirt.

The victim, said to be “distressed and devastated”, turned around and caught him in the act.

The captain was alerted and contacted police who arrested Vaughan in his seat when the plane landed.

The newspaper reported that Vaughan, who lives in the affluent town of Towcester, initially claimed he did not have a phone on the flight but witnesses confirmed they had seen him using a handset.

He has been banned for life from the airline following the alleged incident.

Vaughan, the MD of manufacturing consultancy firm Bradden Associates, had been reportedly travelling with a group of friends but they were not sitting with him.

A senior BA source told The Sun: "He'd had a fair few drinks and was clearly enjoying himself ahead of a sunshine break.

"The crew member felt something up her skirt and turned to see Vaughan whipping his phone away from beneath her with the torch on.

"Airline bosses were appalled and did the right thing in banning him for life."

The Scottish businessman is required to pay an "admission of guilt fine" before being allowed to travel back to the UK.

They'd probably just go to McDonalds.
