When I saw Janes a couple years back they were fantastic and he was fantastic. I've never really *loved* his vocal performances/lyrics on records, but i've always appreciated & respected him as a musician and performer and seeing them live really brought home how important he is to that band and their sound.

I always hated his voice and his general aesthetic. Could never get into JA.

Also, Dave Navarro. Just awful, awful.

Far from mine, however...he's a unique one of a kind type of vocalist who figured out his own tone and perfected it. Great frontman with the big aura, attitude and seamless streams of consciousness on and off the stage. It's kinda of a love or hate thing with him for a lot of people though and I can see why -- it's the tone of his voice. In that respect, he's a lot like Geddy Lee. I respect the no shame he had with it and singing as strong as he could that way.

so pure. This is one of the best live performances of a classic hit song ever. Their sound and chops are over the top here.

I listened to Perry Farrell's Satellite Party pretty hard in 2007, trying to convince myself that "ultra payloaded" was an ok album. A few good songs but jesus he's more of a doofus than my man Tony Kiedis.

2007 was a truly bizarre year, personally
