1991-08-17 Rough Trade Records AMT #1 new transfer (upgrade?)

SPLRA lists lowest gen as VHS1>DVD, but this VHS(X) transfer is brighter, has less cropping, better colors, and appears sharper than circulating DVDs. So I figured i'd put it out there.

This is a VHSX lossless transfer, deinterlaced and encoded via x264. The mkv file has the x264 video, an AAC audio track, and a secondary FLAC audio track.

Nice improvement! He has cut the moving horizontal edges. The rest of your version is definitely better. Sharper picture, clearer sound, not as loud published.

Thanks for the comparison! Wish I knew Jason did a cleaned up version, I woulda asked him for his DVD source to compare. Ben at SPLRA did a quick comparison for me, so I went by his screenshots.

As always, the mkv torrent quality will be much better than YouTube.

Yeah the audio is up for debate. I think this has clearer audio, but for sure the channel mixing is odd. Video is definitely better on this one. Maybe someone can do a resync with this new video source.
