is it just me, or does Track 10 remind anyone else of Justin Timberlake?

2 people have said the same thing hearing the track in my car. ha.

I actually think the first half is a bit better. But I've only listened to it a couple of times so far. Hyperpower's a great intro. Either The Good Soldier or Survivalism is my favorite track.

I lol'ed when I heard "THE GREAT DESTROYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!"

YEAH.

I had to drive through the hood to get to work with The Great Destroyer up and the windows down and got tons of strange looks from the homies on the cor'nah. I think they were resisting the urge to rock out.

some good stuff here, but totally bloated. he didn't craft an album, he just put everything he's recorded in the last year on there.

It starts well and ends well, but the middle of the album could use some trimming. 16 songs is just too many.

i agree. i like some songs, nothing of which is really mind-blowing, but there was really no need for 1 hour and 4 mins of new NIN material

Capital G is terrible. after listening to the album 4 or 5 times it already sounds dated.

By far my favorite part about this whole thing is the story of Darren Kroupa. He's a fellow that pops up in this picture here:

He didn't cause much of a fuss until his named popped up in the Secure Broadcast Informatics site as some sort of underground force in the Resistance. So, everyone at ETS is trying to figure out who Darren Kroupa is, blah blah blah. Yesterday, a member posted two IMs he received a few days ago from people close to Kroupa explaining that he was a cancer victim that died just very recently. He was diagnosed in 2005 and was a fan of NIN since he was in 3rd grade. He last wish was to meet his hero, so the Make-A-Wish foundation brought him to Hollywood to spend some time in the studio with Trent Reznor. In his honor, Trent has forever immortalized him in the story of Year Zero.

Here's a link to his obituary:
http://www.thnt.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...364/1069/OBITS

That's so awesome of Trent to give this guy some recognition and his close ones something to be proud of.

Thanks for posting all that cuz I was totally confused about that part up until now. Wow.

Yeah, it seems like every time I read about someone meeting Trent, they make him out to be a really great person.

Wow, it took 11 tracks (The Greater Good) to finally hear a song that doesn't have the same damn melody.

Isn't it? Man, I finally got to really listen to it all really loud in my truck. I love how that part just breaks right into the crazy noise part.

I cannot wait to hear this live.
