Default lol @ TFE movie

that "philosophy" interview with billy is ridiculous. i mean, to think bc put up some wizardy-sounding guy to ask him those questions in the first place, like he's the font of all knowledge or something, and then to give such lame responses is really spectacular.

"how important is the evolution of man...to the evolution of machines?"

"well...i don't know how long people have been on this planet, but there seems to be a steady need to progress."

haha

although this still isn't as contrived as the bit in Graceful Swans of Never where billy made the interview ask "don't you think you're especially hard on yourself?" as he got out of the car so he could nonchalantly go "mm...nope". SUCH MODESTY

i could transcribe it but i've got it saved on my other computer

Someone tell billy when he tries to sound philosophical and pre-write his interview questions using a thesaurus, he just sounds like a pre-programmed liberal making idiotic generalizations to rationalize some point of view against "the man".

In other words, Billy you're a gdamn hippy.

TFE movie makes me lol too.

In those days Billy still had enough money to come up with a decent clip and artwork. I like the TFE movie, despite the Billy blah blah, it looks good. Unlike SP2 clips.

So if generalize a viewpoint about a group with a generalized viewpoint, does that make me as generalizational as the generalizationist?

I now see the connection between the TFE video and the Machina mystery.

Just what I was thinking as I watched this. When I saw this when it first came out I thought it was fairly cringeworthy but in comparison to Zeitgeist artwork and video releases it looks fantastic!!

it's the same director, though. i don't think there was a change in budget, at least not a negative one. it's not like this stuff comes out of billy's pocket, it's what the record company is willing to put up, right? tfe was just an artier album. anyway pr brown sucks and music videos are dead.

the mixes of the songs in that video are way better than on the album.

I rather like the That's the Way video art design. It's nice. Billy always seems to put a great emphasis on video art work.... notable exceptions being TEG, Lyric... maybe Tarantula.

Very true. I wish the album had jumped all the way down the rabbit hole into one big 52:00 mix... complete with the prose.
