so my brother got this in Prague:
Set List: MFC, Last Exit, Animal, Life Wasted, Small Town, World Wide Suicide, Insignificance, Marker In The Sand, Unemployable, You Are, Sad, Whipping, Even Flow, Daughter, Alone, Jeremy, Do The Evolution 1st encore: Dead Man, Man Of The Hour, Nothingman, Leatherman, Better Man/(Save It For Later by English Beat), Alive 2nd encore: Bushleaguer, Comatose, Given To Fly, Rocking in the Free World (by Neil Young), Yellow Ledbetter He didn't elaborate so far, but said it was great. Did he get any special treatmentsin that setlist? |

MFC is an unusual opener, and hasn't been played a whole lot this tour. Alone isn't played a whole lot- maybe 10 times since its resurrection in 2004. But that first encore- that's something special, even if the individual songs are not. They've been known to play the "Man Trilogy"- Betterman, Nothingman, Leatherman- but this was the first time ever for the "Man Quintilogy". Also, Dead Man has rarely been played in an actual Pearl Jam set- Ed plays it as a preset somewhat often, but it's only been in an actual Pearl Jam show a handful of times. Overall, save for Unemployable, which I hate, that's a really good set. Last edited by Andy / : 09-28-2006 at 12:13 PM. |

These words were pretty much the most of the English he spoke that night, as otherwise he was trying Czech - apparently it was really difficult to figure out what he was actually trying to say, but it was all appreciated - that he bothered to try at all. |

The Holiday single should be out soon... I'm pretty stoked for that. It's their cover of the Who's "Love Reign O'er Me" b/w "Rockin' In The Free World" with U2. The a-side should be rad... the b-side... meh.
Can't tell what I think yet of the Adam Sandler movie that the song will be used for. We'll see. |

Mine, too. I can't wait for it to arrive. It sounds pretty good from the crappy file they have on their myspace site, so I'm looking forward to playing it loud.

Seriously... I can't wait for that song. The preview for the movie is on youtube - it's called 'Reign Over Me'. It looks pretty awesome, actually.

They WILL be touring this year. Tickets are already on sale for a show in Poland, apparently.
The Bonnaroo rumors are the most rampant I've ever seen, but that Poland show is only a a couple days before Roo, so I'm doubting that will come to fruition. But if it does... *jizz* |

And on the PJ message board the admins just posted the usual pre-tour reminder message to 10C members to make sure your membership is up to date.
