Well, this came at a weird time for me. A while ago I noticed that the Left is usually as robotic as the Right, and it's unhelpful to think in those very limited terms anyway. Instead of just reading and watching sources that confirm my liberal outlook, I make a point to read a bunch of stuff from "the other side". I decided to analyze every story more "objectively", but I do realize it can sort of paralyze you intellectually into a kind of relativism where you don't take a stand on anything.

I suppose if everyone spent their time inspecting a story or whatever from all angles, nothing would get done. However, I think a lot of conflict comes from people thinking in absolute terms. Sorry if I'm making little sense, but I am in the habit of over-thinking things at the moment, and I need some coffee to stop my brain feeling fuzzy.

From the dash cam footage from his patrol car, his vehicle can be seen pulling into the Cork Street Laundry at 4:09 p.m. as Houseman walks east on the sidewalk along Cork Street. In the Department of Public Safety's decision not to pursue charges, Webster said later that even though Houseman did not have the rifle in a sling and was "fidgeting" with it, it was not evident that he was "brandishing" it.

Amazing. Brown, Garner, and I'm sure the cops that shot Rice will also not face a trial either. I don't understand how the Garner thing didn't at least deserve a trial.
