as far as old school cartoons go I much prefer the Maxx from Liquid Television

I don't know what that is, but Mighty Max was about as cool as Pirates of Dark Water. Though I don't think either had an official ending, did they? I guess they just dropped off seemingly half-way through both.

yeah I remember it. I thought it was pretty good. I read somewhere that they never completed the story, so the world was never saved from the dark water. Similar to how the characters in Dungeons & Dragons never found their way home.

Gladiator has the theme music of pirates of carribean playing in the opening scene where russel crowe uses the cavalry charge from behind maneuver, I think. Or somewhere in that scene

True Romance (1993) uses a pretty significant instrumental track from Badlands (1973) which I found pretty interesting

Apparently the one same guy does pretty much all the music or used to do all the music for hollywood films. I forgot his name but he did the soundtrack to the mission.

Not only was it a pretty crap cartoon, it's a 90s one, so it's really not that old.
