New(?) source of 8/3/1991 - (McKenzie Tapes)
The Smashing Pumpkins
1991/08/03 - Maxwell's Pub; Hoboken, NJ, US https://www.themckenzietapes.com/tap...lls-08-03-1991 Speed sounds a bit off maybe but it's a lot better sounding than what's on archive (https://archive.org/details/tsp1991-08-03.flac16). / http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tsp1991-08-03 --- The McKenzie Tapes is a collection of live audio recordings from some of New York City-area most prominent music venues of the 1980s and 1990s. The collection itself was recorded by David McKenzie, a Kearny, NJ-native and former Maxwell's employee (that's him pictured above!). It spans mostly from 1985 to 1993, and includes shows played not only at Maxwell's, but also The Ritz, Irving Plaza, City Gardens, and more. David generously sent his tapes to me (Tom) in hopes of getting them archived online. I'm looking forward to sharing all this great music over the course of 2018. -Tom -- Last edited by Copperpot5 : 08-07-2018 at 01:17 AM. |

Pretty cool set, but yeah the speed on the tape is a little fast. The best quality Gish shows were the one at the Moon in Connecticut and the one on the "Virgins" bootleg in Seattle. Also, that soundboard show that Quinto leaked was awesome too.
