Krist started Sweet 75 right after Nirvana.

No, I think Kurt had a team of yes-men and his wife telling him he was the brains behind the band at that time, that's all.

The influence that Beatles albums had on popular music, in terms of production and subject material is not overrated. But the music itself is overrated. I can't sit through any of the Beatles' albums. Their initial popularity was just them being in the right place at the right time, and their continued popularity had more to do with production budgets and session musicians. The music written by the four Beatles, even Lennon/Mccartney is IMO, overrated.

Well then, since you are the one who can't sit through a Beatles album, and literally millions and millions of people can sit through all 13 of The Beatles' albums, maybe instead you are under-rating them? I mean is it really logical that you are right and millions of other people are wrong?

Well millions of people eat at McDonalds but I'm not too concerned that I'm wrong in saying that their food is overrated. The Beatles music is kind of like McDonalds food. It's good for people who are not that interested in music and want something reasonably unsurprising and easy to consume.

Whatever you think of the Beatles, your argument doesn't really work, sonic. Millions of people read and watch Twilight and buy Beiber's albums.

overexposed, i would say. oversaturated, absolutely. Over-rated? Pft. No.

If you think the beatles are "safe" then you haven't really listened to them or understand their historical context. Was "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" safe? Duh. Was "Tomorrow Never Knows" safe? Pft. No.

i argue with my friends

actually the ability to have a good argument is what makes me your friend

if you take everything personally and get upset that someone disagrees with you then i think you're a dingleberry

you feel me

What would it take to reunite The Beatles?

If you've never listened to a full Beatles album, then how do you know they are musically uninteresting?

without revolver would we have this?

i mean maybe...but you can't tell me revolver and VU don't have similar penchant for the static, the noise, the chaotic...this is all fucking insanity at the time for a generation still listening to big band confronted with this "young people racket..."

beatles are the foundation. they made experimentation commercially viable.

and the stones made being degenerates commercially viable and to that i think they should be considered at least partly proto-punk

Yep, simple 4 chord songs, it's all musically uninteresting.

And, like, my dad listened to it, so fuck that shit.

Oh you didn't hear? Guitar music is on it's way out. There's no future in guitar groups.

Look, I know the known musical universe has reached its pinnacle in the form of electric guitars and a drum kit, so anything that is a bit of a variation on what groups normally produce with that setup can be considered revolutionary or experimental. I know that. I dunno I think I might actually be deaf?

Are you going to address any of the points Trots and I made or what? Are you going to answer my above question?

Also I would love it if you sat down and musically mapped out You Never give Me Your Money. Illustrate how that is musically uninteresting.
