i'd prefer a good, in-depth doco than a full concert

i mean, youtube and the pumpkins' taping policy has kind of made a concert dvd redundant

Yeah I hear ya. But, I believe in Australia when they did the arena tours last winters, Billy said he would release it "eventually" so we shall see haha. As for Arising footage, that would kick ass

Other than throwing in a few videos from youtube they will probably throw in the superchrist video.

Quantity over Quality.

This is how i heard asheville was recorded.. with these pro cameras, being run by K. Burns.

I expect a DVD of one of the last 3 days in SF to show up on DVD

Hey, Monte, I wouldn't want you to think im not grateful for all the dvd's youve made of the fillmore shows and a couple of other 2007 shows... But when will you have the last 3 fillmore shows ready for us?! I'm dying to see that 34-minute gossamer with the JC drum solo... MIND-BLOWING! whats the deal?!

As soon as I get audio without track splits. I have made the request. The moment I get it I will have the dvd ready in 3 days worst 5 days. The audio syncing is done in one sit. The transcoding to dvd is half one day two. The 2nd half is doing a dvd authoring along with uploading it to sendspace for some direct download joy

it really isn't that hard to join the different tracks into one audio track.

I wonder if it will ******* that classic moment where corgan shows Jeff a cd he bought, and than feels the need to make the point that it's his and not jeffs.

the thing is, if you already downloaded the flac files of the audio recording, split into separate tracks, you can easily join them into one track yourself. nobody should go through the effort of joining them (two minutes of work) and then uploading the result again (a lot more time and bandwidth) just for you. unless you're really afraid of doing this simple task yourself.

yeah, but why be so helpless when it comes to audio. everything he needs is there. i'm sure it's ten times easier to explain how to make the audio "untracked" than to do it yourself and send it over.

just the request for audio "without track splits" sounds so misplaced.

either way, my apologies. i didn't mean to offend.

Do you think Billy and Jeff didn't have some sort of joke going or just that Billy routinely likes to point out the things he owns that Jeff doesn't?

if Billy has to clarify that a cd he bought is not for Jeff, it indicates that Billy has been buying many other things for Jeff and that this happens to be the exception.

What were you told? I love acoustic Pumpins. That secret Berlin show they did last year is one of my favourite SP bootlegs ever, if not THE favourite. Looking forward to hearing more on that vein.

they didn't say too much just that the band were playing a lot of songs on the floor of the Fillmore for hours

but Lisa's hair looks really really red in that pic i am not sure that it was that red at the fillmore.

Also SP.com is saying there is "talks" about a "soundtrack accompanying the upcoming DVD" Didn't Billy already comment about this already?

Yeah in your interview I believe. Maybe not, but he said something about a soundtrack to come out with the DVD.

I love how the O-site says this is a still from the DVD. This leads me to believe there will be a lot of footage on the dvd that no one has seen i.e. documentary stuff and private practices. This type of intimate and private acoustic stuff makes me excited.

same here. this kind of content is what will make the DVD very interesting. and i think you are right it was during the interview that he said that.

SP stuff few people have ever seen like this is very cool!

Yes, in your interview. He was referring to releasing different versions of Gossamer. I hope there is at least one on the DVD, because it's more interesting to be able to watch along, rather than just listening.

But yeah I hope they incluude lots of bonus behind the scenes stuff, or anything from the acoustic set on 8/1/07.
