Wanted: Siamese singles box
Hey, I'm looking to buy a copy of the Siamese singles 7" box. Let me know if you have one for sale.
Alternately, if anyone has the cherub rock 7", as well as the rocket 7", I may accept that as I already have the colored today and disarm 7"s. |

Also not 1000% sure but the official SS boxes are all black vinyl right? There are some homemade ones with colored vinyl as the super rare colored rocket single came with a box.

Yes, the ss box is all black vinyl. I believe the peach rocket came with an empty box, in case you had already bought all of the other colored singles.
Anyone have one fs?? |

Dude it sounds like we are both in the same boat. Either need a colored cherub and rocket or just buy the whole singles box in black.
You shop discogs right? That's your best bet - I'm just never in the mood to buy one when it's offered. |

And there was one going in eBay the other day. I had the highest bid at 40 freakin bucks, but someone bid $41 at the last second and I lost it

sites like that are set up to protect the buyer at all costs and you always want to look at the feedback rating (to at least see if they've sold enough records to know what they're talking about in terms of grading)

if worse comes to worse you can always complain and get a partial refund.
i find that once i have an item in my hands its difficult to want to send it back - just chalk it up and block the other user or vvice-versa when selling - just bitch and block 'em |

that's a little unclear - i mean if it arrives in a condition not as advertised, just the contact the seller. if they've sold at least a few hundred records with 100% feedback they are usually pretty cool with working with you.
if i'm buying something special though i try and look for someone that has sold more than 1,000 |

sorry for talking to myself here - but (just wanted to add) most sellers selling radio rockers from the early to mid-90s at amazing prices aren't collectors or seasoned sellers.
usually just random people and you're going to be taking a chance. i once got a bush single graded as n/m and it arrived with no padding in a paper envelope and was an easy vg. still mad about that one but the price was right so fuck it. i've had the worst luck on both ebay and discogs with smashing pumpkins records compared to anything else. |

And honestly I've had the best luck/experiences with SP vinyl here. Bought my mcis 3lp for $80 about 10 years ago, and it showed up in like new condition, for example.

the funny thing is that the first 2 had extreme skating marks on the opening to starla which means that track was partied on a lot haha

i learned my lesson after a while and purchased most of my vinyl singles from a single collector at probably +$5 per title but at least i knew they were mint.
from my experiences you either get tradable copies that were played a bunch or collectable copies that were never played. sorry for derailing a little bit but this is just me talking out loud - i sp ent last summer collecting the sp vinyl singles. |
