jki actually like quite a bit of country music tbh

classic and new stuff

with classic i can go for female or male vox but new stuff has to be female - can't stand some mudbutt baritone'ing all over the place.

I love good country, no shame. When country is good, it's the best kind of music to me. Like in a sings to my little heart kind of way.

listening to some good country windows down in the summer riding around with a friend in the country the sun is shining

I know it's ridiculous but honestly that is what makes life worth living

just out to say i really identify strongly with this

for a while all i wanted to listen to was weird 'dark ambient' (for lack of better classification) music that one musical motif (at best) looping inside a sea of noise, ad infinitum

because women have smaller hands and it's hard for them to play instruments and their breasts get in the way of holding the guitar properly

once a guy in a guitar shop actually did tell my ex girlfriend she couldn't play a full-sized acoustic because her breasts would get in the way

there is nothing wrong with her guitar playing, it just isn't some great thing and fuzzy only thinks so because she is a women. he wouldn't say that solo was awesome if a man was playing it and he would never have brought up this band in such a way

There's a lot of better work on some of the other songs. Whether it was her or the dude who actually played it, who the hell knows. But I think the group has a great vibe. It's too bad they've disbanded already.

I guess that's how it is with the major labels though, you'll get a crack, but if you can't gain traction then "there's the door"

There isn't many other females playing that type of music who actually let let loose on the guitar in a way that rocks. I think that's why I like the band so much. It's good power-pop and it aims to rock.

The problem with so many of these guitar based artists and bands these days is that they'll do everything they can to not rock because it's deemed uncool by the hipster crowd these days. And I mean, fundamentally rock is just about creating a powerful, fun energy which seems like a stupid thing to wanna eke out of your music.

Sure I would. I like the outro solo that she plays more than the lead solo. I don't really think a solo has to be burning up the fret-board in order to hit the spot.

And lets face it. You look at some of the most popular rock and roll female lead singers and most won't play lead guitar... I don't think it's "sexist" of me to recognize that.

tbh there's something to be said about those youtube women who shred guitarz but instead of making it about their musical competence, they post shredding videos on youtube where they have giant cleavages and wear pushups and have fabulous hair+makeup

i mean of course it's their right to prep up, nothing wrong with that, but i feel many girls who 'show off' their skills on those types of videos intentionally put themselves in that 'hot girl who plays guitar' corner because they're looking for that reinforcement, or that's their way of standing out in a sea of tasteless guitar vids

not really inline with the topic at hand, slight detour

Gamer twitch bros never stop complaining about attractive women who make bank sucking at video games

I think your complaint here is on a similar level of "who cares"
