One that pisses me off is how people always say "I could care less". I always insist that it's couldn't care less and some woman actually argued that by saying "I could care less" it means that you're being sarcastic by implying that you care so little that you could actually care a little less which would hence be almost impossible.

That surely isn't the gist of the saying is it? I'm pretty sure she was just an imbecile.

OK, I read it again. The way you wrote it was like it was some kind of epiphany that you just had to try to explain to this person how wrong they are when I think by 30 most people are over trying to convert people to the obvious logic

Today in the movie theater the film had been on for about 2 minutes and this older guy in front of me, 50s or 60s I guess, was still fucking with his phone. I was getting really annoyed and the guy across the aisle said, "Would you turn that off?" The phone guy ignored him so the other guy said louder and more firmly, "Hey, turn that off please."

Phone guy says real nastily, "Uh no. I need it so my wife can find me when she comes in." The other dude, who was also older huffed really loudly and adjusted loudly in his seat, so phone guy literally waves the light in his face across the aisle.

so then I leaned up and I said, "I don't know if you've never been to a movie before but you need to turn that off before we have a problem." This guy fucking chortled at me and before I could stop myself I was all like, "YOU THINK I'M KIDDING?"

I guess I got my message across because he turned it off then and said loudly, "PEOPLE THESE DAYS"

then after his wife came in he kept looking back over his shoulder like to challenge me or something and she kept whispering "STOP. STOP IT."

I don't know, Scotty. It seems a little shallow to pass judgement on a person merely upon the basis of their core beliefs and deepest convictions about how society should operate and how rights and resources should be allocated to individuals and groups.

Ugh, I've had far too many experiences like this at the theater. It's why I only go nowadays when there's something I *must* see.
