A leaflet dropped on Fallujah today reads:
"Surrender, you are surrounded," the leaflets said. "If you are a terrorist, beware, because your last day was yesterday. In order to spare your life end your actions and surrender to coalition forces now. We are coming to arrest you."
Holy hell. What's that about trying to not be an authoritarian figure, Donny? |

Sadly enough I think Muslim leaders often hide behind their religous mosques and such in order to keep America at bay, hoping that we will stay away in order to keep from fueling the fire of jihad. I think the military is getting a little fed up and eventually we aren't going to stay away from these religous places and the war is really going to start to get nasty soon. I also saw today where America released a statement saying "The places of worship are not protected under the geneva act because of weapons being stored there" or something to that effect. Shit is really going to hit the fan when we decide to go after Sadr, and we will....soon.

I sincerely doubt the US with go after SADR. I think for the shia popilation right now, killing SADR would be like killing Osama. It's a sensitive issue and i think the U.S. are trying their best to avoid it as much as possible until June 30th.

Well they have killed 65 iraqi insurgents today in Najaf I believe. They will not continue to let the enemy stock pile weapons inside moques and hide behind their religion in order to help the resistance grow.

I remember when the war started, Saddam placed Anti-Aircraft Missiles right beside churches and mosques hoping the U.S. would ignore them. It shows how desperate he was getting on the last days running up to the war. |

It's propoganda... what did you expect it to say, "Please come out? If you do, we'll give you milk and cookies, but you don't have to, because it's your decision..."
